Tsharpa Lochen Lama Thubten Choedak Rinpoche, is the founder and Spiritual Director of Sakya Losal Choe Dzong, Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra.

Born in Tibet he escaped to Nepal in the early 1960s with his parents and completed his secondary education in Nepal. He trained under the guidance of His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche and after eight years monastic training he completed a three and a half year meditation retreat on the Lamdre teachings sponsored by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Lama Choedak Rinpoche has taught in many Buddhist Centres worldwide and has translated for some of the most important teachers of all four traditions of Tibetan Buddhism including the late tutors of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Rinpoche has published a number of books including "Lamdre - Dawn of Enlightenment" and a complete translation of Panchen Ngawang Choedak's "The Triple Tantra". Having graduated with a Lit.B. in Asian Studies from the Australian National University, he is currently working on a thesis on the Hevajra Tantra with the Department of Sociology in Newcastle University.

Rinpoche's book, "Healing Relationships", examines the difficulties we face in keeping our relationships vibrant and healthy.

It explores the causes of our difficulties, from a Buddhist perspective, and it explains how we can eliminate these. Throughout are meditations and practices to help us heal the past, transform our attitudes and forgive ourselves and others. We learn of the benefits of a spiritual union and the path to living without negativity, fatigue or negative mind states.

The clear and accessible advice on every page opens the way for us to create a more reliable and satisfying basis for all our relationships.
Included are prayers, meditations and practices to help us remain calm and develop greater mental clarity; to forgive and heal; and to connect in positive ways with others to make our life more meaningful.
